Finally met XiaoWei after 3 years where we were JC room mates in boarding school. How I've missed u babe! It was so nice to catch up and in San Fran of all places. Thank you for taking the BART from Davis all the way to Berkeley to meet me <3

LA 14-16 Sept
Went on this self declared bday trip with Eileen and it was my first time on an overnight bus and it was a 8h bus ride from Oakland to LA!
Freaking loved the Broad (designed by Scofidio + Renfro and I only found out this sem LOL), loved the contemporary art and the architecture! I've never seen anything quite like it.
Walt Disney Concert Hall was just next door so we went on a tour (with their interactive headphones) and I loved how Gehry can craft such amazing spaces within the queer shape of the exterior
I end up craving for Asian food most of the time in the US so we had subpar Jap food. We were 100% misled by Yelp reviews
The Griffith Observatory was rly quite cool, I saw Mars, Jupiter and Saturn through telescopes there
I loved the Getty Center (by Richard Meier), not just for its art, but I loved the way Meier framed views, placed continuous stairways, brought light into the building and the travertine stone walls
Amazing po'boy from Little Jewel of New Orleans! Where worth it featured their food too(: It was a super good end to the trip!
