Day 1
Drove from the airport, only reached shortly a few hours before sunset.
Where we stayed
Day 2
The weather was horrible and it kept raining, but we got slightly lucky whereby the weather cleared up for a couple of hours shortly after we arrived and we saw a rainbow!
The last of a rainy grand canyon (we had bad luck with weather on this trip). You can see Eileen in her bright pink raincoat hahaha
Day 3
I forgot where this is, but it's a town en route to page to see the antelope canyons (oh it's Flagstaff according to location tags). I saw hail for the first time here, we were freezing cold because we were under-dressed af.
Stopped on the way to see the horseshoe bend, it also rained shortly after we arrived, but we were lucky enough to get a few minutes of good photos, and to find a parking spot.
Went to the Glen Canyon Dam observation centre + a random area nearby (that had no road markings, we just drove into that area following track marks and had so much fun there taking photos hahaha)
I can't rmb when we ate at this little fish and chip shop, but the interior decor was so adorable.
Day 4
The weather had taken a turn for the worst and our tickets we had booked months in advance for the tour of the lower antelope canyon were useless because it was flooding and all tours were cancelled. We were left scrambling to find last minute tickets at sunrise for the upper antelope canyon tours. We (3/5 of us) still got to see the Antelope Canyon by pure stroke of luck and lots of determination.
Loved seeing cactus growing everywhere in Arizona.
Last sunrise of the trip from the airport to catch a plane back to SF.4
I loved this trip!
I loved this trip!
